The Honda Civic – which was once known as Honda’s high-end luxury offering in India is all-set to make a comeback next year. The new Honda Civic has already been unveiled and launched in many countries around the globe, and is expected to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo to be held in New Delhi next year.

And when it comes to interiors and features, this sedan is surely going to claim your attention and focus towards itself. New Honda Civic vs. Toyota Corolla Altis
When it comes to exterior design, style and overall looks, the new Honda Civic steals the show on the first look only. The Toyota Corolla Altis sports a bold and professional look, which would mostly attract high-profile corporate professionals and bureaucrats. On the other hand, the Honda Civic would attract buyers of all ages. However, it would mostly attract the young buyers, who look for style and elegance looks.
The Honda Civic features fresh and futuristic looks. It doesn’t looks like any other luxury sedan. Rather, it has its own parameters to define beauty and class when it comes to exterior looks. The Toyota Corolla Altis is available with two engine options – 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that churns 138bhp of maximum power at 6,400rpm and 173NM of torque at 4,000rpm, and a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 87bhp of maximum power at 3,800rpm and 205NM of torque at 1,800-2,800rpm. The diesel engine is available only with 6-speed manual transmission, while the petrol engine is also available with CVT gearbox with paddle shifts.
Currently, there is no official word on the engine options that would be available with the new Honda Civic in India. However, the Indian variant is expected to carry the all-new 1.0L and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines that have been showcased at various events around the globe. The 1.0L engine produces a maximum power of 129PS at 5,500rpm and 200NM of torque at 2,250rpm.
The bigger 1.5L VTEC turbo petrol engine churns 182PS of maximum power at 5,500rpm and240NM of torque between 1,900 and 5,000 rom. Both these engine would be available with manual gear and automatic transmission gearbox as an option. A diesel engine variant is also expected to be launched.

Toyota Corolla Altis – Rs.14.88 lacs – 18.67 Lacs (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi)
Honda Civic – Currently, there is no official report on the price of new Honda Civic in India. It is expected to be launched between Rs.15 lacs to Rs.20 lacs in India.
Availability in India
The Toyota Corolla Altis is available in your nearest Toyota dealership. However, you have to wait for early 2018 or maybe a bit more to drive away the new Honda Civic to your home.
