Arjun Kapoor will be playing a double role for the second time in his career in Anees Bazmi’s ‘Mubarakan.’ At the film’s trailer launch the actor elaborated on how the premise lends itself to laughter.
He also added, “The dynamic creates comedy and the ways to entertain increase.
Also films which have featured actors in a double role have always connected with the masses. In the film the laughter is not evoked because of mistaken identity.”
The actor will also be sharing screen space with his real life uncle, Anil Kapoor, on reel for the first time in the film. When asked about his favourite film which had an actor essaying a double role, Arjun was quick to respond and said, “It’s ‘Kishen Kanhaiya’, an underrated film based on double roles.”
Meanwhile what also stands out in the film’s trailer is the recreated 80s hit number, ‘Hawa Hawa.’ “The song has a celebratory vibe about to it and that why it’s there in the film. Also singer Mika has added a lot of energy to it and taken it to a whole new level,” said Arjun.
